Achievements
Dr. Kim has achieved an impeccable academic record.
Beginning in high school, Dr. Kim scored 99th percentile on the ACT, 98th percentile on the SAT, and completed 13 AP courses scoring 5's on all AP exams. He graduated at the top of his class of 400 students at a top-ranked public high school in Connecticut and was named National Merit Scholar and National AP Scholar while also winning a national championship in tae kwon do at the Junior Olympics and 2 years of varsity baseball.

In college, Dr. Kim majored in biomedical engineering with minors in chemistry and cultural anthropology at Duke University and was named on the Dean's List three times while conducting materials science research that led to the foundation of a leading medical device startup and founding his own educational technology startup. He scored 97th percentile on the MCAT.

In medical school, Dr. Kim honored all but one clinical clerkship and scored 90th percentile on Step 2 while publishing over 25 research products, on most of which were peer-reviewed journal articles for which he was first and corresponding author. Dr. Kim matched into orthopaedic surgery through the NRMP, a process in which he competed with the most accomplished medical students in the nation.
